Residents of Voi Sub-County in Taita Taveta County are set to experience water rationing following reduced water production at Mzima Springs, the main water source supplying the area.

In a public notice shared by the Taita Taveta County Government, the Coast Water Works Development Agency (CWWDA) announced that water rationing will be implemented according to an attached schedule to manage the limited supply.

The agency attributed the rationing to insufficient water production at Mzima Springs to meet the area’s demand across all supply areas simultaneously.

Residents have been urged to take note of the scheduled rationing periods and plan their water usage accordingly.

The county government, through its Directorate of Communication and Strategy, appealed for public understanding and cooperation as the measures are implemented.

The rationing is intended to manage the available water resources and ensure distribution across the affected supply areas.

Residents are advised to follow the official rationing schedule for details on when water will be available in their respective areas.
