Expect More Rainfall, Weatherman Warns
Most parts of the country will continue to record heavy downpours this week thats according to weatherman. The downpour is likely to intensify from Monday to Thursday.
The Kenya Meteorological Department director, David Gikungu, issued a red alert for heavy rains affecting most parts of the country.
Floods have already displaced thousands of people, and this week could be worse, especially in areas around Lake Victoria which will receive more than 40mm of rain.
Several households are marooned in Tana River where evacuation efforts by Kenya Red Cross are underway.
