Cotu Boss Francis Atwoli Pledges To Ruto Presidency
Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has pledged to work with President William Ruto’s administration to advance the rights and welfare of workers.
In a statement on Wednesday, 14th September, Atwoli said that Ruto’s inauguration speech must be taken seriously as it plants a sense of hope.
“In his inaugural speech, President Ruto was full of reconciliation and hope and as Cotu (K) we associate ourselves with his resolution and assurance of working with all Kenyans from the political divide in building a united and prosperous Kenya,” Atwoli said.
He said the union supports Ruto’s call for unity and reconciliation.
“As workers, we support the President’s call for unity and reconciliation as we hope and trust and call upon other Kenyans to have hands on deck,” Atwoli said.
Atwoli said at this time, Kenya is bigger than individuals, especially those who were involved in politics.
