Charlene Ruto Weds Tanzanian Entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in Glamorous Mwanza Ceremony
President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has officially married Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in a colourful white wedding ceremony held in Mwanza, Tanzania, on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The wedding followed the release of stunning pre-wedding photographs of the couple on Thursday, November 5, showcasing their fashion styles in several coordinated outfits, including black, burgundy and emerald-green traditional-inspired ensembles decorated with gold embroidery.
The ceremony took place at Malaika Beach Resort, overlooking Lake Victoria, bringing together members of the two families, prominent political leaders and invited guests from Kenya and Tanzania.
President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto attended the occasion and escorted their daughter down the aisle as she made her way to exchange vows with Yunge.
Several senior Kenyan government officials and political leaders also attended the celebration, including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
Charlene’s wedding gown featured intricate floral detailing and a flowing veil, while the groom appeared in an elegant formal suit.
The white wedding marks another milestone in the couple’s relationship following their traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, popularly known as Koito, held on August 8, 2026, at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
Yunge, a Tanzanian technology entrepreneur, hosted the final wedding celebrations in his home region of Mwanza, bringing together prominent guests from both countries.
