President William Ruto has appointed Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga from the Kenya Army as his new Aide De Camp.
Lengusuranga takes over from Timothy Lekolool, who served former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto in his first weeks as head of state.
Lengusuranga will be deputised by Colonel Damaris Agnetta from the Kenya Army too.
His first tour of duty was on Tuesday, October 4, where he accompanied Ruto to the burial of deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s brother in Mathira, Nyeri county.
Lengusuranga, the new Aide De Camp, was commissioned into service in 1999. Before his appointment, he served as a senior Special Forces branch commander.
On the other hand, Agnetta takes over from Racheal Nduta Kamui, who has also been promoted to a full Colonel and deployed to the Department of Defense.
Agnetta was commissioned in 2003 and was serving as an Artillery officer. She also served in the United Nations (UN) Observer Mission.
It is believed that the period in which the ADC will serve will depend on several issues, including age, but most of them serve in that capacity for three years.
