Sifuna made the announcement on Friday, October 30, 2026, during the launch of the party’s secretariat, ahead of its National Delegates Conference (NDC), where the proposed leadership team is expected to be presented for consideration and endorsement.

Under the proposed arrangement, the party will have one party leader and four deputy party leaders. Former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, Patrick Makau and former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Faith Odhiambo were among those proposed for deputy leadership positions, with the fourth slot reserved for a representative from the Coast region.

Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi was proposed as the party’s national chairperson, with former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo named as his deputy.

For the party’s administrative positions, Suba South MP Caroli Omondi was proposed as Secretary General, deputised by Pauline Njoroge. Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka was nominated for the national treasurer position, with Abigael Gikonyo proposed as his deputy.

Other proposed appointments include Kari Karani as Organising Secretary and Francy Kadide as Secretary for Legal Affairs.

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was proposed as Secretary for Political Affairs. Khalwale is also expected to pursue the Kakamega gubernatorial seat through the LMM Party ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In the party’s special leadership structures, Caroline Mayuzu was proposed to head the women’s league, while Fridah Onduso was nominated to lead the youth league.

Torome Nalengoyo, the immediate former Narok ODM chairperson, was proposed as the party’s representative for minority affairs.

For the international and diaspora portfolios, Eunice Juma, one of the movement’s founders, was proposed as Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, while Gilbert Shanga was nominated for the Secretary for International Affairs position.

Speaking during the launch, Sifuna said the proposed leadership appointments would be submitted to the National Delegates Conference for consideration and approval as the movement continues with efforts to establish its party structures.

The proposed lineup marks another step in the formation of the Linda Mwananchi Movement as it prepares to formalise its leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election.
