“We are gathering evidence to take William Ruto to the ICC at The Hague” – Rigathi Gachagua
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that he has established a special team to gather evidence against President William Ruto, as they prepare to file a case against him at the International Criminal Court.
Speaking to Kenyans in Seattle, Washington State, on Friday, the former DP alleged that the killings taking place in Kenya are crimes admissible before the ICC, and that steps must be taken to ensure those enabling them face the law.
“I want to confirm that I have put up a team that is documenting all the atrocities, the killings, displacements, disappearances, and abductions taking place in Kenya,” he said
“We have a team that is putting evidence together to take William Ruto to the ICC at The Hague,” Gachagua added.
The Former Mathira MP explained that Ruto’s previous ICC case, related to the 2007 post-election violence, was not closed but merely suspended due to the disappearance of key witnesses.
Gachagua said this time, his team is determined to ensure all evidence is intact and witnesses are protected so the case can proceed to its conclusion.
