Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is mourning following the death of his wife Cathy.

Statement from family confirms that Lady Cathy Ferguson, wife of Sir Alex Ferguson, passed away.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s family: “We are deeply saddened to confirm the death yesterday of Lady Cathy Ferguson, who leaves behind her husband, three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild”

Cathy passed away aged 84.
