Harambee Stars have slipped one place to position 111 in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.

The drop doesn’t come as a shock as Stars were not involved in any international competition since November last year when the team featured in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Stars watched the concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as the team didn’t participate in the qualifiers let alone qualifying.

Stars ended 2023, the year in which the team returned to action after months out due to FIFA suspension in position 110.

Mozambique, who picked two points from their AFCON 2023 campaign after two 2-2 draws with both Egypt and Ghana, have replaced Kenya in position 110, having moved one place up.

Newly-crowned African Champions Ivory Coast have made a significant leap moving up 10 places to position 39.
