In Trouble lawmaker, John Waluke, appeals to Ruto over graft case

Sirisia MP John Waluke has made a passionate appeal to President William Ruto to intervene and save him from a 67-year jail term over maize corruption case..

Speaking in Kakamega State Lodge on Thursday, December 8, Waluke beseeched President Ruto to help him get a reprieve in his case indicating that it was politically instigated.

The MP who is currently out on Sh10 million bail was on June 22, 2020, jailed for 67 years by the Anti-Corruption Court after he was found guilty of defrauding the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) Sh297 million through shady deals.

Nakuomba hii kesi yangu rais, nishughulikie hiyo rais (I plead with you Mr President, intervene in my case),” Waluke said.

Na juzi nilimuuliza umeretire umeniwacha tu? Akaniambia nilijaribu na nikashindwa (I recently asked him (Uhuru) you retired and left me? He said I tried but failed),” Waluke told Ruto.
