Uhuru, Ruto & Raila Meet With Congressional Delegation From The United States Led By Delaware Senator Chris Andrew Coons
President Uhuru Kenyatta, President-elect William Ruto & Azimio party leader Raila Odinga with his counterpart Martha Karua on Thursday held a meeting with a delegation from the United States led by Delaware Senator Chris Andrew Coons.
President Uhuru Kenyatta held discussions with visiting US Senator Chris Coons who paid him a courtesy call at State House Nairobi.
Senator Chris Coons commended President Kenyatta for ensuring peace and stability prevailed during the election period.
President Kenyatta said Kenya will remain steadfast in entrenching the principles of good governance to ensure the country upholds its position of a shinning example of democracy in the continent by maintaining peace during this transition period.
Ruto met the delegation at his Karen residence said that talks in the meeting entailed on the just concluded general elections in the country.
The President-elect further stated that the meeting touched on areas of cooperation between Kenya and the United States, committing to strengthen the relationship.
