H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta officially opens Coast Regional Cancer Center At Coast General.

The Mombasa Regional Cancer Centre was officially opened on 8th Feb, 2022 by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta.

President Uhuru Kenyatta accompanied by other leader unveiled a state-of-the-art regional cancer centre at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital in Mombasa.

The ultra-modern facility, developed in partnership between the national government and the county government of Mombasa as part of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) pillar of the Big 4 Agenda, boasts of high-tech equipment to offer comprehensive cancer care.

The Centre which will cater for cancer patients in the region and beyond becomes the second public facility of its type in Kenya after the one at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital.

The project marks another milestone of life changing achievements as a result of partnership between the National Government and the County Government of Mombasa. The ultra modern facility will bring quality healthcare closer to wananchi.

Among the leaders present were Governors Ali Hassan Joho (Mombasa) and Fahim Twaha (Lamu) as well as area MP Abdullswamad Nassir and a host of other legislators from the region.
