Ruto Holds Meeting With Top Security Officials Over Security Situation In North Rift
President William Ruto on Saturday met the country’s top security officials over the security situation in the North Rift region.
In a statement, the Head of State noted that he was briefed on the ongoing security operation in the area that had been marred with cattle rustling in recent years.
He added that new measures were being put in place to ensure that the recent cases of cattle rustling are dealt with.
“The security operation in the North Rift has had a significant impact in restoring peace. Recent incidents of cattle rustling and banditry are being handled with new additional measures.
The officials included Interior and National Administration CS Kithure Kindiki with Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
Others present included Inspector General Japhet Koome, and his two deputies Douglas Kanja and Noor Gabow.
