James Kipsiele Appointed As NYS Director General

H.E. the President, has appointed Mr. James Kipsiele Tembur, MBS, as the new Director General Kenya National Youth Service

In a gazette notice dated December 19, the President said Kipsiele will serve for three years.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 (1) of the National Youth Service Act, 1, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint—James Kipsiele Tembur to be the Director-General of the National Youth Service, for three (3) years,” the gazette notice read.

The President said that Kipsiele will assume his roles effective December 20, 2023.

Kipsiele takes over from Matilda Sakwa whose tenure ended in April 2023.
