Bishop Kepha Nyamweya Omae tapped to chair NCIC, pending approval
President William Ruto has nominated Kepha Nyamweya Omae to serve as Chairperson of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), subject to parliamentary approval.
In a statement released on Friday, April 10, Head of Public Service Felix Koskei said the President also nominated seven individuals to take up roles as commissioners.
Koskei added that the National Assembly has already been formally notified and will begin the vetting process to review the proposed appointments.
If approved, Nyamweya and the seven commissioners will take over from Reverend Samuel Kobia, whose six-year term concluded on November 17, 2025, having begun in November 2019.
