Business magnate Grita Muthoni on Sunday, March 20. 2022, declared interest in the presidency in August polls
While announcing her candidature she noted that top on her agenda for Kenya is human rights, women’s rights as well as youth empowerment.
“I come to you today, humbly representing and tendering my aspiration to be the fifth president of the great Republic of Kenya. I am Grita Muthoni, a Kenyan by birth. I am a patriotic Kenyan and a mother. Mothers nurture, love all children equally and this is what Kenyans need now,” she declared.
“This is your nation. You’re not refugees, it is your nation you’re free and you should make decisions which will touch your children until fifty years to come,” she said.
She declared her interest in the presidency, becoming the first female aspirant to show interest in the coming presidential elections.
