ODM Party Leader Oburu Odinga has defended the party’s decision to join President William Ruto’s broad-based government, insisting the move was deliberate and not made blindly.

Addressing supporters at the Jacaranda rally through a recorded interview, Oburu said the late Raila Odinga understood the implications of the decision before entering into the arrangement.

His remarks come amid divisions within ODM, with one faction demanding a formal coalition agreement to secure the party’s share in government, while another backs continued engagement with Ruto’s administration.
