CAF is in High-level Talks with the PAMOJA Host Nations
A high-level delegation from the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) is set to arrive in Kampala, Uganda, on Tuesday for a crucial two-day strategic meeting with the joint host nations of the Africa Cup of Nations 2027—Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The meetings, scheduled for April 22–23, will bring together senior government officials from the three countries, alongside presidents of their respective football associations and key CAF executives. Among those expected to attend is CAF Acting General Secretary Samson Adamu, accompanied by senior administrators from departments including competitions, broadcasting, finance, safety and security, and commercial operations.
The engagement aims to review progress and outline priorities for the next phase of preparations as the region gears up to host one of Africa’s biggest sporting events. Key areas of focus will include infrastructure development, procurement processes, financial planning, media coordination, ticketing systems, and security arrangements.
This meeting marks a significant milestone in the joint planning efforts under the “PAMOJA” (together) hosting framework, highlighting the commitment of the three nations and CAF to deliver a successful and well-coordinated tournament.
CAF reaffirmed its support for the host countries, emphasizing the importance of strong coordination and operational readiness across all sectors involved in staging the competition.
