PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN OFFICIALLY RECEIVES PRESIDENT WILLIAM RUTO AT THE WHITE HOUSE
President Joe Biden hosted his Kenyan counterpart, President William Ruto, in the Oval Office, Washington DC.
U.S. President Joe Biden welcomed Kenyan President William Ruto to the White House on Thursday for a state visit, with both leaders pledging a new era of partnership on technology and security.
Washington views the visit as an important step way to deepen relations with African nations at a time when Washington’s focus has been on wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
The arrival of Ruto in Washington DC on Wednesday officially marked the beginning of his State Visit despite having arrived in the US on Monday.
Delegates were forced to depart the podium where the two presidents had addressed a press conference at the White House.
Immediately after the two presidents finished the address, the light showers began.
People from every corner were being seen dispersing as others pulled out their umbrellas.
