Leicester City and Ipswich Town Win Title & Have Secured Promotion Back To The Premier League

Despite a loss a 2 nil loss to Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City lift the trophy after being crowned Championship winners and head straight back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton are the only players from Leicester City’s 2015-16 Premier League winning team that are still in the current squad. They remained with the club even after being relegated last season and are now heading back to the top flight as champions.

IPswitch have also secured promotion back to the Premier League after 22 yrs years out of the top flight.

The Tractor Boys beat Huddersfield 2-0 at Portman Road to secure a second successive promotion, having finished runners-up to Plymouth in League One last season.
