Arsenal defender Ben White Signs New Four-Year Contract
Ben White signs new long-term contract. The 26-year-old defender will stay until 2028
The 26-year-old joined the Gunners for a fee of £50m in 2021 and is a key part of boss Mikel Arteta’s side, playing at right-back and centre-back.
He played in midweek as Arsenal reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in 14 years by beating Porto.
Ben White’s new contract to 2028, with the option for an extra year, is some marker. His fellow defenders William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are tied down until 2027, while Takehiro Tomiyasu’s new contract is expected to be announced in the coming days.
When Arsenal asked their players for one word to describe Ben White, ‘warrior’ was the most popular.
