Yavi Winfred Mutile explaining her change of Nationality to Bahrain
In an earlier interview while explaining her change of Nationality to Bahrain, Yavi Winfred Mutile, the 3000m steeplechase Olympic Gold medalist says she failed to get an opportunity in Kenya to join the national team severally.
She would do trials but never got selected as the Kenyan criteria never favoured her.
An opportunity showed up to switch to Bahrain and considered it. She’s now a citizen of Bahrain.
She added that her Olympic triumph is a journey she begun in 2017 while in Kenya.
