Joseph Oketch Appointed EPRA Acting Director General
The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has named Joseph Oketch as its Acting Director General with immediate effect.
His appointment comes just a day after former Director General Daniel Kiptoo stepped down amid a scandal linked to the importation of substandard fuel valued at over Ksh 4 billion.
EPRA Board Chairman Adan Ali explained that the decision to appoint Oketch was guided by the authority’s critical and strategic role as Kenya’s energy sector regulator.
