Ezekiel Mutua Appointed The New Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO
Former CEO of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Ezekiel Mutua has been appointed as MCSK Chief Executive Officer ( CEO).
In a statement released on march 28, 2022, MCSK’s Board of Directors named Dr. Mutua as its new CEO effective 25th March. According to MCSK, the former Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) boss emerged top following a competitive recruitment process.
Previously Mutua served in several boards of State Corporations in Kenya, including the Kenya Copyright Board, the Media Council of Kenya, the Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat, the Brand Kenya Board and the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
MCSK is the largest and oldest of three Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) in Kenya. It is licensed to represent artists and ensure that they are compensated for use of their work by businesses, individuals and media houses.
