Taita Taveta Committee Assembly Vets Vumi Ngaleri Ringo for CPSB Appointment

The Taita Taveta County Assembly Committee on Administration, Security, Devolution, Public Participation, Community Services and Drugs Control has conducted the vetting of Vumi Ngaleri Ringo, who has been nominated for appointment as a member of the County Public Service Board (CPSB).

The vetting was conducted by the committee chaired by Hon. Isack Matolo, MCA, with the nominee responding to questions on her academic and professional qualifications, relevant experience and understanding of the mandate and responsibilities of the County Public Service Board.

The committee also assessed her understanding of good governance, accountability, integrity and human resource management within the county public service. Members further sought clarification on any potential conflicts of interest that could affect her ability to discharge her duties if appointed.

Following the exercise, the committee will prepare a report detailing its findings and recommendations on the nominee’s suitability. The report will then be tabled before the County Assembly for debate and consideration.

The House will subsequently decide whether to approve or reject the nomination in accordance with the law and the Assembly’s procedures.
