Kiraitu Murungi Joins Azimio and Backs Raila Odinga Presidency
Devolution Empowerment Party chaired by Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s joins Azimio La Umoja movement.
Kiraitu also backs ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Presidential bid saying he has researched, talked to opponents and listened to confidential reports before making his decisions.
The Meru county boss announced to join Azimio La Umoja Coalitona and support for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga, on 8th February, 2022.
He exuded confidence that he had done consultations and researched and that the former prime minister will win the August poll.
“We have done our analysis, we have done our research, the next President of the Republic of Kenya is Raila Amollo Odinga,” he said
The announcement seems to be a turn about of events rom his recent political pronouncement while campaigning in which he appeared to attack the coalitions of both Raila and Deputy President William Ruto for making unmate promises to citizens, indication that he was not going to join any political formation.
