Kenyans celebrate Mashujaa Day in Kitui

Kitui County host the 61st national Mashujaa Day celebrations as the nation continues to mourn the death of former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, who was buried on Sunday in Bondo, Siaya County.

Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will serve as the Chief Guest at the invitation of President William Ruto.

Security teams were on high alert from around 6:00 am in the morning, screening guests and ensuring smooth entry through clearly marked gates

Patriotic music from various choirs dressed in traditional attire kept the crowd engaged, with loud cheers and ululations filling the air in response to each performance.

The turnout was not only large but diverse. Families, youth groups, community leaders, the elderly and delegations from across the country all found their way to the venue to witness the celebrations firsthand.
