CHELSEA MANAGER, Thomas Tuchel Admits there are Uncertainties Around The Club as Chelsea Owner Roman Abramovich Decides to Handover Stewardship and of Club to Chelsea Foundation Over Ongoing Russian Ukraine War.
Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has admitted there are uncertainties around the club at the moment.
Tuchel also said he understands the criticism directed at the Blues over the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
After Russian troops crossed the border into Ukraine on Tuesday, Labour MP Chris Bryant told the House of Commons that Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, should have his assets seized.
“Mr Abramovich should no longer be able to own a football club in this country? We should be looking at seizing some of his assets including his 152 million pound home and make sure that other people that have Tier 1 visas like this are not engaged in malign activity in the UK.” pic.twitter.com/yFnWQ8eOG8

Abramovich is one of a number of Russian oligarchs and companies facing potential sanctions from Britain in response to the Ukraine crisis.
It has been suggested in Parliament that the UK should seize Abramovich’s assets and bar him from owning Chelsea.
“We should not pretend this is not an issue. The situation in general for me and for my staff, the players, is horrible,” Tuchel told reporters on Friday.
“Nobody expected this. It’s pretty unreal, like I said it’s clouding our minds, it’s clouding our excitement towards the final.
“And it brings huge uncertainty, much more to all the people and families who are actually in the moment more involved than us.
“And our best wishes, regards and thoughts are obviously with them, which is absolutely the most important thing.”
Although Tuchel refused to comment directly on the Abramovich issue, he did say: “There are so many uncertainties around the situation of our club and of the situation in the UK, with scenarios like this, that it makes no sense if I comment on it.
“We are aware of it, we have not maybe so much inside information as you might think.
“But I think it’s also the right from the team, the staff, and I include myself, to be maybe not political, to do sports and to focus on sports.”
Roman Abramovich has been the owner of Chelsea Football Club since 2003. His decision to relinquish his stewardship comes in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has faced international condemnation. Mr Abramovich is a Russian oligarch who’s had close ties to Vladimir Putin.
The Russian billionaire will no longer be involved in club matters on a day to day basis and long term strategic decision making powers will instead be handed over to the Chelsea Foundation.
He is alleged to have links with Vladimir Putin – something he denies – and his ownership of Chelsea has been plunged into doubt in light of the severe sanctions imposed on the invading nation.
His announcement also comes the day before Chelsea play Liverpool in the League Cup final at Wembley.
