President Ruto Appoints Charles Owino as Government Spokesperson, Isaac Mwaura Reassigned
President William Ruto has appointed former police spokesperson Charles Owino as the new Government Spokesperson, replacing Isaac Mwaura in a fresh reshuffle within the government communication team.
At the same time, Isaac Mwaura has been reassigned to the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Disability Rights, where he will take up a new role focusing on promoting inclusivity and championing the rights of marginalized groups, including persons with disabilities.
Charles Owino, a seasoned communications expert and former National Police Service spokesperson, is expected to lead the government’s public communication strategy and serve as the principal voice on government policies, programmes, and national issues.
The changes are part of President Ruto’s latest administrative reorganization aimed at strengthening government communication and improving service delivery across key institutions.
