Hussein Mohammed, Donald Mariga Seal Dramatic FKF Election Win
Hussein Mohammed has been elected as the new Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President in an election held on Saturday, December 7.
Mohammed garnered 42 votes from 90 voters that were up for grabs in the elections conducted at the Moi International Sports Centre, Indoor Arena in Kasarani.
He was elected alongside Kenyan football star McDonald Mariga, who is set to assume the Vice President position.
In the tightly contested elections, Nick Mwendwa and his counterpart Dorris Petra came in second after garnering 31 votes.
In third place was resigned FKF CEO Barry Otieno, who garnered 10 votes, closely followed by Cleophas Shimanyula in fourth place with 4 votes.
Following his elections, Hussein Mohamed is set to replace Nick Mwendwa, who served at the helm of the Federation for nine years since 2016.
