EPRA has responded to reports claiming fuel prices have risen above KSh 200 per litre.

The energy regulator reiterated that the official prices will be announced on Tuesday, April 14.

“The poster circulating online that EPRA has revised pump prices is fake. Under Section 101 (y) of the Petroleum Act 2019, EPRA announces the applicable fuel price schedule for the subsequent month on the 14th of every month,” EPRA clarified.

According to the flagged post, the fuel prices had been adjusted to reflect the increased landed cost of imported petroleum products, driven by the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
