A man from Bungoma has reportedly fainted after receiving news of the engagement of President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, to her Tanzanian fiancé.
The man, who has openly admired Charlene for several years, had reportedly hoped that his numerous gestures would eventually win her attention.
Among his efforts, he is said to have printed Charlene’s photograph on 17 T-shirts and even fasted for seven hours while staring at her picture, hoping to demonstrate the depth of his affection.
Despite his efforts over the past five years, the man claims his advances went unnoticed.
Following news of Charlene’s engagement, he is now demanding an explanation from her, asking why she chose another man instead of him.
He has reportedly vowed not to eat until Charlene responds to his demands, leaving his friends and those around him concerned about his reaction to the news.
