President Uhuru orders Crack down on all Rogue boda boda Operators Across the country After Forest Road Incident. The President issued the directive while speaking at the Kenya School of Government on Tuesday, March 8, during the International Women’s Day celebrations.
A video went viral on social media where a woman driver was assaulted and harassed by boda boda operators along forest road, on Friday, March 4.
President Kenyatta ordered reform in Boda Boda industry noting his government was targeting to improve small scale businesses. The president noted all bodaboda riders will be registered on new scheme to tame rogue riders. He ordered Boda Boda leaders to help the government identify rogue riders from within as they are damaging their image in the business
Internal Security CS Fred Matiangi had also condemn the incident vowed to crack down all rogue bodaboda as they are becoming a threat to national security
The president was accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and her Rwandan counterpart, Janet Kagame during the event.
