Kenya and the United States have signed a commercial and investment partnership, affirming their mutual commitment to deepening commercial partnerships between Nairobi and Washington.

The deals signed Friday during the Kenya-US Business Forum between U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and Kenyaโ€™s Rebecca Miano, the Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade & Industry, are aimed at facilitating trade and investment between the two sides.

โ€œThis Partnership, with robust participation from the private sector, aims to promote a strong business-enabling environment and facilitate trade and investment opportunities in Kenya, focusing on key priority sectors including infrastructure, agriculture and the digital economy,โ€ said Miano

United States Raimondo reiterated that her country was fully committed to working with Kenya by advancing business cooperation.

โ€œIโ€™m looking forward to putting the partnership into action and delivering tangible benefits for the people and businesses of both Kenya and the United States,โ€ noted Raimondo

She said the US businesses were more enthusiastic than ever to be committed and invest more in Kenya and Africa at large.

โ€œAfrica is changing the narrative. The narrative now is that Africa is a land of opportunities,โ€ she said
