TaitaTaveta Mark DAPATA Cultural Festival
TaitaTaveta residents today celebrated rich culture and tradition in Taveta, marking the beginning of Dawida, Pare, Taveta (DAPATA) festival.
The DAPATA festival is a unique customs ceremony that aims at celecbrating traditional music, dance, storytelling, and rituals that have been passed down for generations.
It aim at ensuring that future generations remain connected to our roots. The presence of PS Mwadime underscored the significance of our traditions in shaping the identity and unity of Taita Taveta County.
The event was attended by H.E Governor Andrew Mwadime, Taveta MP Wakili Bwire, Wundanyi MP Hon. Danson Mwashako, Senator Johnes Mwaruma, women rep lydia Haika, AFC chairman Hon. John Mruttu, MCAs among other County officials.
