The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party National Elections Board on Saturday postponed planned grassroots elections in Nairobi.

In a notice dated June 7, the party elections board chairman Anthony Mwaura noted the move was in line with an initial order issued on June 6.

According to Mwaura, the initial order by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal directed the suspension of the elections in Nairobi County.

The grassroots elections which were scheduled for June 10 will now take place at a later date.
