Alikiba celebrates 20 years in the industry by launching his own radio and TV station.
Alikiba has officially launched his own media house dubbed Crown Media which includes a TV station, radio station, and digital media and events.
The Singer made the big announcement during a star-studded event where he was celebrating 20 years in the music industry.
Kiba spoke about the media’s influence on his career: “Media is a powerful tool. It’s what made me who I am today. As a kid, I’d always have the radio on, much to my father’s disapproval.”
“The challenges I faced growing up inspired me to contribute to the media landscape. 1986 marked the beginning of my voice, a voice filled with dreams and ambitions.”
Some of the notable leaders and celebrities who joined him in the launch included former Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete, Ommy Dimpoz, KRG the Don, Fredrick ‘Sky Walker’ Bundala, Hsshim Ibwe, Yogo, Man Watr, Mr Blue, Mwijaku, Nana Dollz, Popat, Kajula, Hamisa Mobetto, AY, Dulla Makabila, Majizzo, Joseph Kusaga, Eric One Wash, Barnaba Classic and Nape Nnauye among others
Former President, Jakaya Kikwete, who was the guest of honour at the event lauded King Kiba for being an inspiration to the young generation as far as music is concerned and also investments.
