Nangolo Mbumba sworn in as Namibia’s fourth President

Namibia on Sunday ushered in a new era as Nangolo Mbumba was sworn in as the fourth President.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in Windhoek.

Mbumba was sworn in as president following the death of the 82-year-old leader, President Geingob who succumbed to cancer on Sunday at Lady Pohamba Hospital leaving the office vacant.

Mbumba was sworn in by Chief Justice Peter Shivute.
