Linda Mwananchi Rallies Supporters in TaitaTaveta, Calls for Unity and People-Centred Leadership
The Linda Mwananchi movement on Saturday held a political rally in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County, as its leaders continued efforts to strengthen grassroots support and engage residents on key national and local issues.
Hundreds of supporters turned up for the event, where party leaders addressed residents on matters including the cost of living, economic opportunities, governance, accountability, and the need for inclusive development.

During the rally, the leaders urged residents to remain united and actively participate in shaping the country’s political future. They emphasized the importance of leadership that prioritizes the welfare of ordinary Kenyans and pledged to champion policies aimed at improving livelihoods, creating employment opportunities, and enhancing service delivery.
The gathering also provided a platform for local residents to voice their concerns over challenges affecting the region, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, water supply, and youth unemployment. Party officials assured the residents that their views would form part of the movement’s policy agenda.

The Mwatate rally is part of Linda Mwananchi’s ongoing nationwide outreach campaign aimed at expanding its support base ahead of the 2027 General Election. The movement has been holding similar engagements across different counties as it seeks to build stronger connections with communities and mobilize support for its political agenda.
Political observers say such grassroots meetings are expected to become more frequent as parties and political movements intensify their campaigns and position themselves for the 2027 elections.
