Ruto Officially opens the Afsnet Conference in Kisumu City

President William Ruto is in the Lakeside city of Kisumu for the official opening of the 4th Africa Sub-Sovereign Network Conference (AfCFTA).

The head of State was received by Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o who was accompanied by National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi.

The Sub-Sovereign Network Conference is a gathering that seeks to promote sustainable development through Trade and investment among member states in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The President, made a stop-over in Kondele where he was received by a mammoth crowd. Addressing the locals, Ruto pledged to Ensure his administration creates employment opportunities for the Youth, through expanding the Climate Workx Programme to Kisumu Next Year.

The Head of State also stated his administration has allocated Ksh 2.7 Million to tackle the regular Accidents in Lake Victoria.

The AfCFTA event is being hosted in collaboration with Kisumu and the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa(UCLGA).
