Western Leader Warns Against Plot to Replace Speaker Wetangula
A section of Western leaders have come out to strongly oppose any attempts to remove the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula following rumours that have been making rounds in the recent days suggesting existence of a scheme to oust the former Foreign Affairs Minister.
Speaking in Kakamega on Saturday, Deputy Governor of Kakamega County Ayub Savula stated leaders from Western Kenya will not tolerate any attempts to replace the National Assembly’s Speaker Moses Wetangula who is one of their own.
Savula defended the Speaker Wetangula emphasizing that the he has shown strong leadership especially in parliament where he serves as the chair of the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).
According to him, Wetangula’s dedication to his duties is excellent and as such, there are no valid grounds to remove him from the office whatsoever.
