Zari Hassan and Shakib Officially Tie the Knot

Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and Shakib Lutaaya are officially husband after wedding in ceremony held in Pretoria South Africa.

The wedding comes just months after the couple had a traditional wedding known as Nikah which occurred in April this year.

The 42 year old mother of five reportedly exchanged vows with her 30 year old boyfriend in a private ‘nikkah’ surrounded by close family and friends. Nikkah is a ceremony that validates marriage in Islam.

Zari and Shakib’s relationship came to the limelight last year, 2022. Although the relationship has continuously received backlash from a section of social media users who say Shakib is too young to be Zari’s boyfriend, the two have always defended the relationship, asserting that they love each other and are adults who can do as they wish.

The couple has decided to make it official. Reports indicate that the couple exchanged vows in a private nikkah ceremony.
