Senator Mutinda elected to global Parliamentary Network board
Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda has reached a major milestone following her election to the Board of Governance of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In an official communication to the Senate on Wednesday afternoon, Speaker Amason Kingi lauded the Senator for her appointment which will commence on October 13, 2025, during the Parliamentary engagements at the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and IMF.
The Senator took to her socials to react to the appointment.
“With my experience, background on matters relating to finance, I am ready to serve in my new position, diligently, effectively and efficiently while executing my mandate,” said Mutinda.
“I am also taking this opportunity to thank my fellow Senators for their motivational, positive compliments and congratulatory messages towards my appointment.”
The board of governance is charged with the responsibility of setting the strategic agenda and providing guidance for the activities of the Parliamentary network.
Mutinda will represent the East Africa Region on the Board for the 2025–2027 term.
