Raila Donates 5 Acres for Affordable Housing Project in Kisumu

ODM leader Raila Odinga has donated five acres to the government to facilitate the Affordable Housing programme.

President William Ruto made the revelation during his tour, ahead of the handing over of several housing units in Kisumu City on Thursday, May 29, 2025, while addressing residents.

According to the Head of State, Raila donated the land to help the government construct houses for low-income earners in the lakeside city.

“I have come with Raila, who has given us his personal land amounting to five acres to construct the affordable houses so that the people of Kisumu City can also benefit,” Ruto said.

The Head of State further thanked Raila for his kind gesture towards his flagship project.

Raila urged the people of Kisumu to rally behind President Ruto’s administration, stating that the region stands to benefit from the government’s development agenda.
