Prime Time News Anchors Akisa Wandera Leaves KTN For BBC
KTN news anchor Akisa Wandera has left the station after working at Standard Media Group for 6 years.
Akisa joined The Standard Group in March, 2016 as a news reporter at a time when the Royal Media Serviced (RMS) raided the station for journalists. She was officially introduced to the audience by Ben Kitili, who was her co-host at the time. Wandera has accepted a new position at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
She was one of the long-serving prime time news anchors at the station
She joined KTN in 2016 and worked her way to become a mainstay at the station.
In September 2020, Wandera graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism from the United States International University (USIU-Africa). She joined KTN in 2016. She emerged the top in her class and was awarded the Cum Laude distinction.
