President Ruto meets KMPDU leadership at State House

President William Ruto on Saturday met with the leadership of Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) led by the Secretary General Dr Davji Atellah.

During the meeting, the President reiterated his commitment to finding long term solutions to the perennial Human Resource challenges in the health sector.

President Ruto said the government will work with all stakeholders including unions to foster industrial harmony.

On their part KMPDU committed to champion and support the UHC agenda especially the rolling out of the social health insurance to all Kenyans.

The meeting comes two days after doctors signed a return to work formula with government ending a nationwide 56 days strike.

The meeting was also attended by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Health CS Susan Nakhumicha, PS State Department of Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni Muriuki and Health advisors in the Executive Office of the President Dr Daniel Mwai and Dr Thuranira Kaugiria.
