The Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu on Thursday, March 1, made an announcement that the 3 political formations now have until April 9, 2022 to submit their coalition agreements.

The ORPP also overturned a previous directive issued to contestants seeking electoral office, which prohibited them from running as independent candidates if they did not receive party nomination tickets.

Nderitu has issued relief to candidates who did not pass their party’s preliminary elections as they will now have a 10-day window to register as independent candidates.
