Mumias East MP Peter Salasya forcefully ejected from Nyayo Stadium after a confrontation with a section of fans at the Kenya vs Gabon match, who roughed him up before he was escorted out, with some accusing him of disrespecting ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Salasya was among the thousands of Kenyans who were in attendance at Kenya’s crucial World Cup qualifier match against Gabon.

While it is unclear why Salasya was thrown out, some supporters present at the scene could be heard chanting “Respect the President”, in an apparent retaliation for what the MP said or did regarding President William Ruto.
