Mike Sonko and His Family Banned From Entry United States Due To His involvement in Corruption, Bribes and Kickbacks.
Flamboyant politician Mike Sonko and all his close family members, and relatives have been barred from ever setting foot in the United States of America due to extensive corruption deals. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announces.
“While in office, Sonko solicited bribes and kickbacks in exchange for awarding government contracts to his associates. ” A statement by the US Dept of state read.
“I’ve learned of news barring my family and I from traveling to the USA over unverified corruption allegations against me. I’ve not been convicted on any corruption related charges because the cases are still pending in court awaiting judgment.” ~ Mike Sonko
This comes few days after Mike Sonko lost bid to reverse ouster. Appellate Court rulled that the ex-governor was properly impeached and cites substantive governor now in office.
Mike sonko was ousted as Nairobi governor over corruption and incompetence while in office as Nairobi governor. The case is however still in court awaiting determination.
