Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga says he will revive the collapsed Mumias Sugar Company if elected the next president at the August 9 general election.

The opposition leader blamed the Kenya Kwanza Alliance for failing Kenyans economy, claiming that they have no capacity to revive it.

“They have looted our country so badly they are now walking around churches with donations,” he said.

“How can someone be donating millions of shillings to groups on monthly basis and yet his salary is only Sh2 million?” Raila posed.

He said if Kenya Kwanza Alliance, under the leadership of Deputy President William Ruto, is given a chance to lead for the next five years, the country will go bankrupt.

“We are still under the developing nations because of high rate of corruption in this country.

“We need sober leaders who will protect our resources and pump it into development,” Raila said.

The Opposition chief said other countries that got their independence after Kenya have developed way better than Kenya.

“It’s time we should face off corruption and build our nation to better standards,” he said.
